Experiences with Windows Live OneCare

Thought maybe you should pass this along to everyone. As you know I've been using Live OneCare since last fall when it came out in BETA. Worked very well till the mainstream came out. Then in late March it corrupted itself so couldn't get updates anymore. Per Microsoft (compass Rule Manager) I had to uninstall. Only way to do that is to download a special uninstall program that works thru Command Prompt. They sent it to me. Then redownload the program and install and update, both long updates. Worked OK for about 2 months then did the same thing again.

We have 2 computers, 1 Gateway with XP Pro, other a Toshiba with XP. Both did the same thing within a week of each other. Advised Microsoft of this and that now in summer am not on DSL so downloading not an option. They are refunding the purchase price and advise to purchase online as then you get a CD version. Still have to download the updates but at least they are not all at once. Suggest you advise anyone interested to forget the download from Microsoft and just buy it off Ebay. In some cases its' cheaper anyway.
