Windows XP "ClearType": This technology improves text display, especially on LCD monitors and notebooks. Try it yourself to see if you like it. You can follow the directions below, or download the ClearType Tuner from the Microsoft download page.
- Click Start > Control Panel > Display, or right click an empty spot on the desktop, and choose "Properties".
- Click the "Appearance" tab in the Display Properties dialog box.
- Click the "Effects" button.
- Check "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts."
- Choose "ClearType" in the associated drop-down box.
- Click "OK" twice to exit the dialog boxes.
